About Me

Hello! I’m a linguist, teacher, and scholar, and I welcome you to my website.

I received a B.A. in Psychology and French from Centenary College of Louisiana, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from Purdue University. I’m currently working as a  Lecturer at Boston University, where I teach courses in composition for international students.

My research interests include World Englishes, second language writing assessment, English instruction and assessment in Poland, and Legitimation Code Theory.

Besides my academic interests, I am also an avid baker, runner, and cat mom.
